Spring Will Come

I was listening to a pastor friend from our home church this week, and something he said during his closing remarks has stayed with me ever since:
“It may be winter now, but spring will come.”
I’ve been chewing on those words for days. Letting them settle. Letting them speak to my heart. And today, I felt led to share this simple yet powerful truth:
Spring will come. 💗
Winter seasons can feel heavy. The “winter blues” creep in quietly, days feel longer, energy feels lower, and hope can feel distant. In these moments, it’s easy to believe that this season will never end. That the cold will last forever. That the silence, the waiting, and the barrenness are all there is.
But even in the middle of winter, God is still very present.
What looks lifeless to us is often just dormant. What feels like loss is often preparation. What we interpret as delay is often divine pruning.
In the fall, things appear to die, but they don’t disappear. They rest. In the winter, growth doesn’t stop, it simply happens underground.
Jesus reminds us of this truth in John 15:2: “He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.”

Pruning is not punishment...it’s preparation. God is never wasting a season. While we wait, He is working. While we feel still, He is shaping.
While the ground looks barren, roots are growing deeper.
There is a promise woven into creation itself: spring always follows winter.
“See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come.” — Song of Songs 2:11–12
New life will come.
Joy will bloom again.
Color will return.
Hope will rise.
If you’re in a winter season today—emotionally, spiritually, physically—this is your reminder: this is not the end of the story.
God is faithful in every season, and He is just as present in the cold as He is in the warmth.
So hold on.
Rest if you need to.
Let Him prune.
Let Him process.
Let Him do what only He can do.
Because spring will come. 💗

BONUS:
Call to Action
If you’re in a winter season right now, don’t rush it—rest in it.Take a moment today to reflect and ask yourself:
Where might God be pruning me, not punishing me?
What feels dormant that He may be preparing to bring to life?
How can I trust Him more deeply in this waiting season?
I encourage you to pause, breathe, and sit with God today. Write your prayers down. Speak them out loud. Invite Him into the quiet, the cold, and the unknown. And if this message resonated with you, share it with someone who may need this reminder too.
Closing Prayer
Lord, Thank you for meeting us in every season, even in the cold, quiet winters of our lives. When we feel tired, discouraged, or unsure, remind us that You are still at work beneath the surface. Help us trust You when growth feels slow and hope feels distant. Give us patience in the waiting, peace in the pruning, and faith to believe that new life is coming.
Strengthen our hearts as we rest in You. Renew our hope as we hold onto Your promises. And prepare us for the joy and beauty You are bringing in due time.
We trust You, Lord. Amen. 💗

Such a great reminder! I’m resting in it.
