Day 5: Prayer Deepens Love
Prayer is more than a routine—it’s a relationship. Just as meaningful conversations strengthen bonds with loved ones, daily prayer deepens our intimacy with God. When we take time to talk to Him, we open our hearts to His presence, His wisdom, and His love.
Loving God Through Daily Prayer
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8

Loving God means spending time with Him, and one of the most powerful ways to do that is through prayer. Too often, we approach prayer with a list of requests, but at its core, prayer is about connection. It’s an invitation to draw closer to the Father, to listen, and to share our hearts with Him.
When we pray daily, we cultivate a habit of seeking Him first. It becomes less about duty and more about desire—desiring to know Him, hear Him, and walk with Him. Just like any relationship, consistency builds closeness. The more we spend time with God, the more we recognize His voice, feel His guidance, and experience His peace.
Take 10 Minutes Just to Talk with God
Today, I challenge you to set aside 10 minutes for prayer—not to ask for anything, but simply to be with God. Talk to Him as you would a close friend. Share your thoughts, your joys, your struggles. Then, take a moment to be still. What is He speaking to your heart?
If you’re unsure where to start, try this simple prayer:
“Father, I just want to be with You. Thank You for loving me. Speak to my heart, and help me to hear You more clearly. Amen.”
The more we prioritize prayer, the deeper our love for God grows. It shifts our perspective, strengthens our faith, and reminds us that we are never alone.
Challenge for Today
Set a timer for 10 minutes and spend time in conversation with God. No requests—just connection. Then, reflect on what He speaks to your heart.
Prayer isn’t just about changing our circumstances; it’s about transforming our hearts. And the more we pray, the more we fall in love with the One who loves us most.
